USDT or USDC: which one to actually send

Same dollar, different plumbing. The difference shows up in fees, exchange support and what happens if something goes wrong.

Both are dollar stablecoins. For a payment of a few hundred dollars the difference is small, but it is not zero, and it decides how painful a mistake becomes.

Fees

On TRON, USDT transfers are cheap and universally supported. USDC exists on TRON too but with far less liquidity and fewer wallet defaults. On Ethereum both are expensive when the network is busy; on BSC, Polygon and Solana both are cheap.

Practical rule: match what the invoice asks for. The cheapest network for your coin is irrelevant if it is not the one being watched.

Exchange and wallet support

USDT has broader support, especially on TRON. Almost every wallet, exchange and payment gateway handles it. USDC is well supported on Ethereum, Solana and Base, less so on TRON.

If your funds sit on an exchange that only withdraws one of the two to your network of choice, that decides it for you.

What happens when something breaks

Recovery depends on the issuer and the chain, not on the symbol. A transfer on the wrong network is equally hard to recover for both. A transfer to the right address with the wrong amount is equally easy.

Our side

Both are accepted on every network we enable: TRON, Ethereum, BSC, Polygon, Solana, TON, Aptos and Plasma. The cashier shows the exact address and amount for the pair you pick — copy it, do not retype it.

If a payment does not appear, the USDT guide lists the three things to check before contacting anyone, and the status page shows what a live order looks like.
