Why ChatGPT Plus shows a different price by country and currency

Tax-inclusive display, pricing regions and conversion are three different effects. None of them is a secret discount, and chasing one is an account problem you did not have.

The short answer: a displayed consumer subscription price is usually not one number wearing different clothes. It is the same plan priced into different regions, and the visible differences come from three effects that are easy to confuse: whether tax is inside the displayed figure, which price list the vendor applies to that region, and what the currency conversion costs you personally. We do not hold the vendor's regional rulebook and will not invent one here.

Effect one: tax inside or outside the number

In much of Europe and the United Kingdom, prices shown to consumers are expected to include VAT, while prices shown in the United States are typically quoted before sales tax. A figure that looks like it excludes tax and a figure that includes it are not comparable until that difference is adjusted, and the adjustment can be most of the apparent gap. That is a display convention, not a cheaper market.

Effect two: the region the account is billed to

Vendors maintain price lists per market, and the differences reflect local taxes, payment processing, app-store handling where you buy through a store, and commercial decisions we cannot see. Some markets are genuinely priced lower than others in their own currency. Which applies to whom is not something we can verify, and the vendor's own explanation of a specific discrepancy cannot be confirmed from outside.

Effect three: what conversion costs you

A card that converts twice, or a plan billed in a currency your bank handles badly, can turn a nominally cheaper figure into a more expensive one after fees. Compare the total your bank actually charges, not the headline number on the plan page.

What we will not help you do

Do not open or move an account to chase a cheaper regional price. Registering in a market you do not live in, or re-billing an account to another country to catch a lower list, is exactly the kind of detail a payment review looks at, and we cannot promise what follows from that. We do not provide methods, geography tricks, or a route around a vendor's regional pricing, and we do not recommend buying one elsewhere. If you already tried it and the account is behaving oddly now, say so plainly in the chat. Account status is not ours to fix, but at least the order can be judged correctly.

How this shop prices

One price list, in CNY, with converted figures beside it for reference. ChatGPT Plus is 95 CNY, about 13 euro, for one month; the official equivalent listed on the page is 134 CNY. Above it sit Pro 100 at 375 CNY, Pro 200 at 850 and Pro 500 at 2500. The euro and dollar figures are conversions at a stated rate, not regional prices, and they move with the rate rather than with your location. Claude Pro is 105 CNY, about 14 euro.

Payment is crypto only, so no card-currency conversion happens inside the purchase itself. The number on the invoice is the number that must arrive, on one network, in one transfer. That removes the third effect entirely, and leaves the first two where they belong: on the vendor's page, not on ours.

Tiers and stock are on the plan list, and USDT or USDC covers which asset to send. If the question is which plan rather than which country, monthly or annual is the closer question, and the price list carries every figure in one table.

Common questions

Is a lower price in another country a real saving

Often it is partly a tax-display difference and partly conversion and fees. Without the itemised total from your own bank, nobody can honestly say which is cheaper for you.

Can you bill the account in a cheaper region for me

No. We apply a subscription to an existing account and we do not change which market it belongs to.

Is buying here cheaper than the official page

Each page lists the official equivalent beside our figure, so you can compare directly. What you are paying for is a checkout that works with crypto, not a hidden regional price.

Why do your euro and dollar figures change

They are conversions at a stated rate from a CNY price. The rate moves, the plan does not.

Does VAT apply to my purchase here

No VAT invoice is issued here, because this is an independent reseller taking crypto rather than a VAT-registered issuer. That is a bookkeeping point to settle with whoever handles your accounts.
